You Don’t Have to Climb Alone

Summit of Growth is a psychotherapy practice committed to helping individuals navigate life’s emotional terrain and emerge stronger, more grounded, and aligned with their true selves. I believe healing is not just about recovery — it’s about growth. My mission is to guide clients in transforming emotional pain into personal power.

Remember, the climb to your summit will be steep, but growth will be possible.

Hello, I’m Azin.

HEALING ISN’T THE END GOAL—GROWTH IS.

Life’s challenges can feel like mountain ranges — steep, isolating, and exhausting. At Summit of Growth, I know the path isn’t always clear. That’s why I offer more than just coping tools. I guide you to grow.

My practice was founded on the belief that everyone deserves support while climbing toward personal peace, purpose, and resilience, just like how I received tremendous support while reaching my summits.

Whether you're feeling lost in life’s valleys or standing at the edge of something new, I am here to walk with you. At Summit of Growth, I help you rise through pain, rediscover your strength, and reach emotional clarity. I help individuals transform emotional pain into purpose, anxiety into clarity, and trauma into strength.

"Azin is a brilliant, warm, and experienced clinician. This allow for her clients to not only experience a safe place with her, but to receive exceptional clinical care as well. As a colleague of Azin's, I can speak to her depth of knowledge across many areas in the field, such as life transitions, relationship concerns, and work-related stress and anxiety. Azin is an outstanding psychotherapist and supportive colleague."

-Kyle Loogman MACP,CCC

Over the years as a Registered Psychotherapist and Canadian Certified Counsellor holding a ME.d from University of Ottawa in Counseling Psychology, I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients through a wide range of concerns. From working on crisis lines to employee assistance programs (EAPs) and at a women’s shelter, I’ve developed a broad, integrative approach that meets each client where they are at.

With over five years of experience as a therapist, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and discover their own strength. My approach is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration—believing that healing begins when we feel heard, supported, and understood.

Outside the therapy room, I love climbing mountains, running, cycling, and hiking. These passions mirror my work with clients, and the motivation behind my practice’s name: each journey has its own terrain, pace, and setbacks—but with the right support, reaching the summit is possible. I’m here to help you find your footing, build resilience, and move toward your version of a meaningful and fulfilling life. My goal is to help you reach your summit, whatever that may look like

"The best view comes after the hardest climb."

FAQs

  • Psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy, involves a therapeutic relationship between you and a trained therapist. The goal is to help you address emotional, psychological, or behavioral challenges by exploring your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Different therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-focused, Narrative therapy, Client-centered, and others, may be used to help you reach your personal goals.

  • Psychotherapy can help with a wide range of issues, including:

    • Anxiety, stress, and panic attacks

    • Depression and sadness

    • Trauma and PTSD

    • Relationship issues

    • Low self-esteem and self-worth

    • Grief and loss

    • Life transitions (e.g., divorce, job loss)

    • Anger management

Each session is personalized to address your unique concerns and challenges.

  • The length of therapy varies for each individual. Some people may find relief in just a few sessions, while others may benefit from longer-term therapy. The duration depends on your goals, the nature of the issue you are addressing, and how actively you engage in the process. I will work with you to set realistic goals and periodically reassess your progress.

  • In a typical therapy session, you will have the opportunity to discuss your thoughts, feelings, and any challenges you’re facing. The therapist will ask questions to better understand your situation and offer support, strategies, or coping skills based on the therapeutic approach being used. Sessions generally last 50 minutes, but this can vary depending on the therapist's practice.

  • Yes, confidentiality is one of the most important aspects of psychotherapy. What you discuss in therapy is generally kept private. However, there are exceptions to confidentiality, such as:

    • If you or someone else is at risk of harm

    • If there is suspicion of abuse or neglect

    • If required by law (e.g., in cases of certain legal proceedings)

You will always be informed if confidentiality needs to be broken for any of these reasons.

  • The cost of therapy can vary depending on the therapist's experience and location. You will be informed of the session fees before starting therapy. Payment is typically due at the time of the session, and accepted methods of payment often include credit cards, e-transfers, or cash.

Like many therapists, I provide a sliding scale, meaning I offer lower fees depending on your financial situation, so it’s always a good idea to ask about this if needed.

  • Yes, insurance is accepted.

  • You can schedule an appointment by sending an email ,or an online booking system if available. I offer flexible scheduling including weekends, and evenings.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours' notice to avoid being charged for the session. If you fail to show up for your appointment or cancel on short notice, you may be charged a late cancellation fee, which is typically 50-100% of the session fee.

  • While psychotherapy is helpful for ongoing emotional and psychological concerns, it is not a service for emergencies. If you are in crisis or need immediate assistance, please contact emergency services at [insert emergency contact number] or visit the nearest emergency room. Your therapist can work with you to develop strategies for crisis management during regular sessions.

  • If you are struggling with emotional, psychological, or behavioral challenges that are affecting your daily life or well-being, therapy can help. Therapy is most effective when you are ready to engage in the process and are open to self-reflection and change. You can discuss your concerns and whether therapy feels right for you with your therapist at any time.

  • The terms “psychotherapy” and “counseling” are often used interchangeably, but psychotherapy typically refers to a deeper, more long-term treatment for mental health and emotional issues. Counseling may focus on shorter-term or situational problems, but both approaches aim to provide support, guidance, and coping strategies. I am both a registered Psychotherapist, and a certified Counselor, therefore, offer both services.

  • Yes, psychotherapy is highly effective for addressing trauma. Trauma therapy can help individuals process traumatic experiences, reduce symptoms of PTSD, and develop healthier coping mechanisms. Therapists often use specialized approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), or other trauma-informed therapies.

  • No, all sessions are hold online, either a phone call, or video call.
